Reconnect Fremont
We can Reconnect Fremont by creating five at-grade crossings on Aurora Ave and two new transit stops for the E-Line.

Reconnecting Fremont would remove literal barriers, making it possible for people of all ages and abilities to move freely and safely about the neighborhood while enjoying all that Fremont has to offer.

History
In August 2021, members of Ballard Fremont Green Streets and the Aurora Reimagined Coalition conducted a walk audit of the Fremont section of Aurora Ave N.
In October 2021, the neighbors near Woodland Park requested improvements along Aurora.
In February 2022, we published a vision for Fremont.
In April 2023, we published a vision for the bicycling / micro-mobility network along Aurora.
In March 2024, the Seattle School Traffic Safety Committee requested improvements in the Fremont section of Aurora.
In June 2024, we conducted another walk audit in the Fremont section.
In April 2026, we hosted a Reconnecting Fremont walk.
In May 2026, a crossing of Woodland Park Ave N / Bridge Way N received a District Project Fund.
In June 2026, we presented to the Fremont Neighborhood Council.
In July 2026, we presented to the Seattle School Traffic Safety Committee.
In September 2026, we presented to the Seattle Pedestrian Advisory Board.
In September 2026, we presented to the Lincoln High School PTSA.
